The Teeth of the Dog is ranked number 1 in the Caribbean and is 34th in the top 100 courses in the world by Golf Magazine. Its designer Pete Dye is considered by many as the most influential golf course architect of the last 50 years and the courses created by him are among the finest places to golf in the world and the 3 here at Casa de Campo are no exception. The course was painstakingly constructed by hand, with 300 local labourers chiselling the fairways from the sharp coral that gives the course its canine moniker. The Teeth of the Dog course attracts the best professionals and amateurs from all over the world. Seven of the holes are directly on the Caribbean Sea and are exhilarating. Strong Caribbean breezes challenge every stroke, errant balls collide with ocean rocks like ping pong balls. The great designer himself is quick to point out that "Teeth" was definitely designed by the "man upstairs"...."I created 11 holes and God created 7 !" Dye Fore course has spectacular ocean views and the par 3's are incredible and thrilling. The award winning Links Course, thought by some to be reminiscent of British and Scottish courses has 5 holes where water comes into play and plenty of sand traps to keep you on your toes.
