Ugolino Golf Club is considered one of the most suggestive natural golf course of the world, it has been named among the 50 most beautiful golf course of the world by the American writer Chris Santella. A great location for a golf holiday in Italy, just 25 kms from Florence, It was originally designed in 1933 by English architects Blandford and Gannon and later enlarged in the 1960s by engineer Piero Macinelli. Many tournaments have been played on Ugolino golf course over the years, including the international Opel of 1983 in which European champions took part. The golf course takes advantage of the natural characteristics of its location: the first nine holes offer a remarkable views with impressive differences in level, and while the remaining nine are on more even ground they are nonetheless demanding. Facilities at Ugolino include driving range, putting green, tennis courts, swimming pool, pro shop and restaurant.
